
Philadelphia's youth and young adults need programs and services to assist them in gaining knowledge and skills to complete high school and not drop out. We provide a place where youth and young adults are mentored and nurtured by caring and responsible adults. There are more than 100, 000 school age children in Philadelphia who are facing problems that severely impact their ability to become self-sufficient adults. Our goal is for every young person who wants and needs a mentor to have access to one, to help improve their quality of life.<br /> Our Programs and Activities include: <br /> Computer Labs:<br /> A fully furnished computer lab is on-site with up to date software applications and high speed internet access. Computer Lab is open to the public Mon-Thurs 10:00-2:00pm<br /> <br /> Mentoring and Tutoring:<br /> Retired teachers help children with their homework and tutor them in reading and math. Math teacher available each Wednesday from 4:00-5:30pm.<br /> Experienced Mentors provide children with social support, academic assistance, resources and activities.<br /> <br /> Mentoring through NCCY (Northwest CommUnity Coalition for Youth)<br /> <br /> Middle and High School youth meet Monday and Tuesday 4:00-6:00pm during the school year.
